"Ikb" is not a standard abbreviation for either 1000 or 1024 bytes. The standard abbreviations are 1000 bytes for a kilobyte (kB), and 1024 bytes for a kibibyte (KiB). While the term "kilobyte" is often used to mean 1024 bytes in practice, the correct technical term for 1024 bytes is kibibyte (KiB).     

• Kilobyte (kB): In the decimal (SI) system, 1 kilobyte is equal to 1000 bytes 10^3 bytes). 
• Kibibyte (KiB): In the binary system, 1 kibibyte is equal to 1024 bytes 2^10 bytes). 
• Common usage: Due to 1024 being very close to 1000, "kilobyte" is frequently used to mean 1024 bytes in everyday computer contexts.
